We did a little Disneyland 'test drive' while we were on vacation in Southern California. Our test drive included very low expectations for our day not knowing how long our kids would last at their young ages. A normal day out at home requires that we be home around 12:30pm for Eva's nap time. Well, I'm happy to say that our little princesses maximized the day and we had a more than fabulous day. Eva did take a little snooze late in the afternoon around 4:30pm while snuggled in the Ergo backpack.
Lila and Eva excited to leave our condo in Palm Springs for a big day at Disneyland.
We started the day at 9:00am with a character breakfast at the Plaza Inn. The girls met so many characters; Minnie Mouse and Winnie the Pooh were their favorites. Note; neither of them wanted to visit with Captain Hook.

The whole crew...Eva was a little overwhelmed with all of the characters.
Winnie the Pooh!
It's a Small World was our first stop in the park. I remember this ride when I was a kid and I wanted it to be our kids first introduction to Disneyland. Eva, Lila and I loved it! Eva was waving and both girls were singing as we ventured on the boat through the different cultures. Scott was in 'Small World' hell. He couldn't wait to get off the ride and go on a real ride.
The Dumbo Ride!
In truth Scott and Lila went on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad after It's a Small World. Then, Lila and I went on that ride and later in the day Scott and Lila went to Splash Mountain. Lila naively choose the front seat after feeling confident after her two very successful BTM rides. They both got very wet and Lila was a little apprehensive at some point on the ride (before the big splash). Nonetheless they had a great time and decided they would head back to BTM for another roller coaster ride. Splash Mountain can wait until she's a little older. Eva was not tall enough to do any of the big rides and she was more than fine with all of the other entertainment thus didn't care. Thank heavens!
WET!
Eva was much more interested in going to see Cinderella's Castle than anything else at the park all day. Here we are in front of the famed home of Cinderella.
Tea Cups!
The girls and I waited in a long line at the Princess Faire and it was totally worth it! We met Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty (Princess Aurora). We lucked out to meet all three prominent princesses and especially because our girls only really know these three (and Ariel).
What would it be like to meet the most famous person in your world? This is what it was like for Lila to meet Cinderella. She was excited and nervous and giddy too. Coincidentally Lila was wearing Cinderella socks (showing Cinderella below) and also Cinderella panties. I don't think Lila meant to show her panties and out of nervousness she kept pulling her dress up.
Eva caught the princess bug while we were in Disneyland. She warmed up to Cinderella and now can't stop talking about her (and her castle).
The girls with Snow White.
This sums up the late afternoon. Tired Eva was such a trooper. She was in a great mood the whole time and didn't want to stop or take a break. The yawn tells it all!
Leaving Disneyland after a very full and fabulous day with two tired and happy princesses.
Toy Story bus back to our car.
