I'm literally anxious to hear about their travels and I'm so glad they are going to be blogging about their adventure. I've included their blog link on my "Friends Blogs" list so if you are interested in following their travel you can too. {It's so much easier for me to follow a blog if it's just a matter of clicking from my blog to theirs...hence the Friends Blog list.}

Poppy and Amma Travel to India
Irv and Michele, my in-laws also known as Poppy and Amma, are leaving on Wednesday for a trip to India. They will be gone for 6 weeks traveling throughout the country. Irv was in the Peace Corp in India when he was in his 20's so he's anxious to go back and see the country. Brave aren't they?
Bonk!
Eva took a big tumble today while we were out on a walk. She was circling a post which held a street sign, a square metal post, when she took a tumble head first into the post. Naturally she hit her forehead right on the edge leaving her with a vertical line from her eye nearly up to her hair. Poor baby. It was a really solid Bonk which led to a long silent gasp/cry and later into a loud hysterical cry. We were 1 1/2 miles from our house and at the bottom of Dahlia so I had to quickly huff it up the big hill with Eva in hand. I asked her at one point if she wanted to ride in the buggy and she promptly said, "No". I don't blame her. By the time we got home she had a goose egg on her forehead and she was cooperative enough to sit with and ice pack.
PS It's a beautiful Fall day in Camas. Perfect for Halloween!

Disney on Ice
Lila and I went to Disney on Ice today with some friends from Goddard. It was really fun and our seats were great (really close to the ice = really close to Mickey and Minnie). Here are some before photos of our little show-goer.

Pomeroy Farms
We ventured out last weekend to Pomeroy Farms in Clark County. It was a small, beautiful farm way out in the country. The best part from Eva's perspective was that they had cleaned out all of the vines in the pumpkin patch so she could actually walk around and choose her pumpkin. We now have enough pumpkins for a family of 6 (which means that Parker and Sampson get to decorate a pumpkin this year too).

WWF: Eva's Crib @ 7pm
Our sweet little Eva has been really great at going to sleep at night. In fact many nights she is so tired she tells us she's ready to go to sleep by asking for Binkie. Then while we try and read her books she fast forwards to the end of the books and says "night night". Seriously does it get any easier than this? 99% of the time she goes to sleep without a peep. I'm not saying she's always stayed asleep but the going to sleep part has always been dreamy.
Tonight she went to bed a little early, tired from our active day. After about an hour I heard her giggling and laughing on the monitor. Weird, I have to go see what's going on. I walk in there and before she knew I was watching witnessed her tackling her teddy bear repeatedly in her crib. She had thrown everything else out of her crib (blankie, sea horse and doll) to make room for the WWF with bear. I over heard her saying "bear, bear" and then tackling the bear again and joyfully giggling. I could only laugh!

Snuggly Quilt from Nana
My mom has made a quilt for each of her granddaughters and Eva recently got hers. It's perfect timing because she also is now sharing a room with Lila so it's super cute and complimentary with Lila's quilt and their area rug. I love the birds, the flowers and the colors of Eva's quilt. Perfect for Eva!
Rain, Mud and the Pumpkin Patch
We ventured out to the pumpkin patch last Saturday. It was RAINY, MUDDY and FUN.
Lila crawling through a tunnel on a hay pyramid.
The McGeachy Girls in the rainy pumpkin patch.
Lila and I did a hay maze. It was so much fun. Perfect for little one's and Mama too!
Elena, Eva and Lila checking out the farm animals.
Lila really wanted to ride a pony and she didn't even stall when getting on the horse. In this picture Lila with "Major".
Panty Raid
Our little panty raider! Eva is really funny and apparently envious of Lila wearing big girl panties. She has done this before but today grabbed two pairs from the clean laundry and snuck into the kitchen to put them both on. So sweet!
Auntie Linda
Auntie Linda stopped by while in town this week and she and Lila put all of the letters in the alphabet in order (both upper and lower case!). Thanks Auntie!

Pumpkin Pie Season
The weather this weekend was reminiscent of when Noah built his ark. It didn't stop us from getting outside but it did feel like Fall in the Pacific Northwest.
We went to dinner at the Kerker's for a "Carb Loading" session in preparation for the Portland Marathon. Scott ran the marathon today. Below is a photo of Lila making yummy pumpkin pie to take to the Kerker's. The dinner included a first course where all 7 kids under 5 sat down for their dinner. Amazingly they all sat their quietly eating their pasta and most asked for seconds. It was really unbelievable to see 7 kids quietly eating at the same time.

Cousin Camp Weekend
The girls had Cousin Camp last weekend up in Shelton. My my once again took on the task of entertaining Hannah, Morgen and Lila for the weekend. Eva was able to intermittently participate but on Saturday Eva and I made a quick trip to Seattle for a bridal shower. Note; this was Eva's first trip to Seattle at 18 months.
At the gate to my mom's amazing garden. She grows all kinds of wonderful veggies. The girls had a great time picking veggies for dinner.
Hannah showing Eva how to pick green beans.
All four of the girls. The big girls are wearing 'dress-up' clothes for fun.
On Saturday playing outside at a memorial garden in Shelton.
We went to Oysterfest in Shelton and had a great time. They had this really cute train and all of the girls rode the train as it drove around the fairgrounds. I think Grandpa Shrum could build a train like this and pull it behind a small John Deere?
The whole crew!
Grandpa being attacked by the girls...he loves it!
At the children's museum in Olympia. Lila washing a dog!
Our little ticket taker! Eva loved playing with the tickets apparently so much that she came home with one of them in her pocket. Whoops!
Lila dressed as a dog and Morgen dressed as a cat and they chased each other around. I love this picture of Lila.

Swim Like a Fish
Lila passed her swimming lessons and is moving up to Pre-School 2. Her teacher Donna was great and Lila really advanced her swimming skills. We're excited for her to keep learning. Below is a photo of Lila with her certificate.
