Lila Counting

Lila can count to 12 right now but counting on her fingers is a whole 'nother story. One morning I caught her practicing and was able to get a sneaky video of her counting to herself.

Blowing Raspberries While Eating ~ Yum.

Eva thinks this is really funny. She's been eating up a storm but recently got a cold so she hasn't been as interested in food...as you can clearly see.

Splash Time!

Giving Eva a bath requires that you wear a raincoat!

Eva is Five Months Old ~ August 20th

Nana Comes to Visit!

Several weeks ago the girls and I switched to a 3 day week schedule. I work on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays while the girls to to The Goddard School. On Wednesdays and Fridays WE'RE OFF!

Nana came to visit us on Wednesday and we went to Esther Short Park to play in the water. Fun day!

If you look closely you can see that Lila has a very small ponytail. Almost daily Lila asks if she can wear a ponytail.

The Shrum's Come to Visit

Hannah, Morgen and Lila after their bath.

Eva's second time swinging at the park.

Uncle Tony taught Lila how to climb up some challenging pieces of the play structure at the park. She climbed and climbed until she could do it herself! Thanks Uncle Tony!

Morgen having fun!

Hannah goes down the slide and gets 'electric'! Look at that hair.

Lila Our Two Year Old

Lila is potty training and part of that experience includes getting dressed and undressed a lot. Lila as become very comfortable running around the house naked as you can see. She gives us a good laugh every day to say the least.

A picture says a thousand words. Too cute!

Pretty Baby

The Rat Pack

Ethan holding Eva, Lila holding Thad. Ironic because Thad is much larger than Lila but this is how they wanted the photo taken. We watched the boys early Saturday morning so all of the kiddos are in their jammies and were checking out Lila's bed. Hence this photo opportunity.

Lila's First Encounter with the Sidewalk

This is likely the first of many encounters like this but for Lila and me it was a big 'owie'. Lila fell running down the sidewalk from the Jennings house and scuffed her eyebrow, cheek, elbow and knee. Thank goodness it wasn't worse and of course the one thing that Lila was worried about was her 'dirty hands'.
Remember these owies? I do! It sends a zing through my nervous system every time I look at Lila's. Ouch.

Bath Time for Eva

Eva gets a bath every night now with the hopes that she might sleep through the night. I'll let you know if/when it works.

Family Zoo Trip

Scott, Lila and a cooperative elephant. The elephants were really putting on a private show for us at the zoo recently.
Three elephants including the baby! We were the only one's watching them tromp around the backyard of the elephant exhibit.

First Bites

Eva enjoyed her first taste of rice cereal at the end of July. The first experience wasn't so good as you can see from the picture below. Since then she's tried apple sauce which she loved, green beans and most recently avacado. She seems to like the avacado but the green beans may be an acquired taste?
Dramatic isn't she?

Okay Mama, it wasn't that bad.
