Lila's Garden

Lila and I started some seeds for our raised bed. She LOVED planting the seeds and carefully put them in each container. She enjoyed watering them even more...I'm afraid one may drown. Now we have to water our 'Garden' and keep our fingers crossed that some of the seeds grow into healthy plants.

Eva Smiling

Okay, so I admit that maybe it's a picture that only a mother could love...Eva was smiling at me like crazy today and I tried to capture it on my blackberry.

Eva is One Month Old

Eva turned 1 month old today...April 20th. She's growing length-wise out of her clothes and starting to get a little bit of baby fat...just a little.

Yawning!

Look at all that hair. We still can't get over how much hair Eva has.

Building our Raised Bed

Scott and Lila at Lowes picking up the wood for our raised bed. Lila insisted on helping.

Scott built a raised bed for our yard on Saturday...Sampson helped. We're looking forward to growing some veggies and herbs in our backyard over the summer.

Sampson really liked the new raised bed - seen here on it's side.

Eva's First Big Girl Bath

Eva had her first Big Girl Bath (now that her belly button has healed). She didn't really like it! The second bath she enjoyed MUCH more.

We Survived!

Lila, Eva and I were on our own this week as Scott was out of town. We survived! With two girls under two (that sounds crazy) who are not in a very good sleep pattern it was a daunting task BUT both girls were easier than I expected. Whew. We had a little help from neighbors Erik and Maria and friends Matt and Kim. Thanks guys!

Easter Road Trip to Shelton and Tacoma

We hit the road early (7:51am) to head to Tacoma to visit Scott's Aunt Cathy, Uncle Don and Grandma Henri. Then we went to Shelton for the annual Easter celebration with the Shrum Family. Lila and Eva in their car seats.

Lila's Easter Egg Hunt

Our Easter Eggs turned out great. Lila choose to dye them green, pink and blue.

Nana Shrum's Visit

We've been in the good hands of Grandparents for the better part of two weeks. Nana Shrum came down to take care of us last week. I've been sick with an infection for 11 days and feeling MUCH better now. Nana took great care of the girls and even folded Scott's laundry while she was here (something he normally does himself). Thanks Mom for your wonderful care. Can't imagine last week without you.

Lila and Nana making Molasses Sugar Cookies - yum.

Lila and Nana doing art. Lila got some new stamps from the Bruce's so she's trying them out with Nana. The best part is that they are fun for Lila and they don't make a mess.

Poppy and Grandma's Visit

Irv and Michele were able to come visit us after their trip to Mexico. It was a good thing they were here...I was sick the whole time and they jumped right in and took care of Eva and Lila. Nothing like handing off your two week old to Grandparents. Thanks Irv and Michele!

Grandma McGeachy and Eva. Eva had that Italian coloring like her Dad and Grandma. Although we are still holding out that she may have blue eyes.

Matching Outfits

Scott bought the girls matching outfits for Valentine's Day. This was their first opportunity to wear them.
