My mom ran the Portland Marathon on Sunday and she was amazing. We were able to send her off at the start and meet up with her several times throughout the race. It was fun to see the different phases of the run and track her running all over the city. At mile 11 I ran with my mom for a while and she was running fast, an 8:30 pace. She ran into some cramps around mile 18 and a little bit of rain. By the finish line she was looking great (see photo below).
