Cutest Little Playhouse Ever!
My dad spent the weekend building a playhouse for Lila and Eva. They are such lucky little girls to have someone who loves them enough to spend the weekend in the cold wet weather building the cutest little playhouse ever. I'm not sure who is more excited about the playhouse...Lila...Eva...or me? We're all thrilled.
The playhouse was prebuilt at my parents house and they hauled it down on the flatbed trailer.
Lila 'helping' my dad. While she was out there she talked his ear off!
The weather this weekend was absolutely horrible. At one point it rained sheets of water and was so windy I felt so bad for my dad. He worked all morning, through lunch and finally came in for dinner when the playhouse was complete.
Lila and Eva checking out their playhouse. Isn't it cute? Complete with windows, a front porch and most importantly roofing. Lila is calling the roofing 'brick' which to her means that the big bad wolf will not be able to blow her house down. Kids are so cute! We will be painting the house the same color as ours and my dad is going to add a front door as well. More photos to come.
Thank you dad for putting so much time, effort and love into making a custom built playhouse for our girls. What lucky girls. We are all so thrilled for this new addition in our backyard!
Ten
Ten is the number of crayons Eva had stashed in her pockets yesterday. I went to put her down for nap time and discovered while changing her clothes TEN crayons stuffed in her pockets. That girl! She just loves to color and I have no doubt she was just wanting to make sure she always had a crayon on hand.

Lila's Skin
We're seeing some progress with Lila's skin. Thank heavens! We've been taking her to a natural path and we have eliminated gluten, dairy, soy and eggs from her diet. And we've added a bunch of herbal remedies and supplements. That said, her skin is starting to make a turn. We've used steroids on her skin only 4 times in the last month which is a huge win. That said, it's a full time job cooking for her and managing her skin. At her doctors appointment this week the doctor suggested we make up a little basket for Lila to use herself when she has an itchy spot. Ahhh...the light went on. Lila loves taking care of herself and she's at the right age where she can take on some of this responsibility. So, here is her cute little basket of supplies. The shea butter seems to be the best. It melts just like butter on her skin and feels so smooth.
It's Tough Being the Dog(s) of Two Girls
Sampson got dressed up last night. This is the first time that the girls have dressed him up and I'm guessing not the last time. He was very patient and willing. Parker got in on the action as well though it took some encouragement and he only had two necklaces. Fun times ahead Sam dog.
Eva is turning TWO
Eva and I went to the park this morning to do a little photo shoot to document what she looks like at age TWO. In a couple of weeks she'll be two and this seemed like the best morning. Anyway, if this is any vision into our future I got her all dressed up, drove to the park and 'the happiest baby'* would not smile for me.
Once we got home she was goofing off and I got several photos of our happy girl.
*Other people always say that "Eva is the happiest baby". She's not much of a baby anymore though she is usually happy 99.9% of the time.
Here is Eva mad at me for even considering setting her down to take her photo.
"Whatever Mama"
Are we done yet?
I got one itsy bitsy smile. Two huh? We're in for it!

Quoting Lila - Musical
Lila and I went to a play this afternoon; Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. One of our neighbors, Isaac, was in the play. I was so impressed with all of the kids in the play ranging in age from 7-8 up to 18. It as an awesome production and the kids were spectacular.
This evening while at home I put on the music from the play and Lila said that she wanted to sing and dance in a play. Then she stopped in her tracks to ask, "Mom will you go to my play?" Of course I respond with "Yes". Then she says that when she's up on stage she will stop to come give me a hug (in the audience). Her brain was really working thinking about how this might all work. Knowing Lila and listening to her talk about the play she's more interested at this point in the singing and dancing than the acting. Good times!
