Lila is a reading machine! Her reading has taken off exponentially to the point where this week she picked up a chapter book (Junie B. Jones) and started reading it on her own. This is the first chapter book that she has read on her own. Within one day she had read 5 chapters.
Here in this picture she is happily showing off her new reading skills to her friends Hailey and Taryn.
She is not afraid of any word big or small and carefully sounds out the words. I'm so impressed with her tenacity towards reading and hope it continues.
PS This book has two stories in it (one from each side of the book). Thus, it looks like Lila is reading the book upside down in the photo.
