Earlier this summer at Lila's school they planted sunflower seeds and sent them home with the kids. We watched as Lila's seed sprouted and then grew and grew until it out grew the dixie cup. Then we planted it in the yard and watered it regularly and you know what? It took off. The sunflower is almost as tall as me! It bloomed over night and there are the photos of Lila's sunflower.
