At the Shrum Family reunion we also celebrated Grandpa Shrum's life by spreading his ashes in the creek. It was remarkable the way that the ashes settled immediately to the bottom of the creek...Grandpa settled in quickly. It was wonderful for me to laugh and cry with family sharing stories and memories over the weekend as well. Having a baby at the same time that Grandpa passed away kept me from experiencing this fully back in March.
